The Problem
Evans Commercial Finance had been operating with a basic single-page landing site — and it was holding the business back. For a commercial finance broker with years of experience arranging funding for SMEs, the site simply didn't do the business justice. There were no dedicated service pages explaining what they do, no structured content to build trust with prospective clients, and very limited opportunity to convert site visitors into enquiries.
The brief was clear: replace the landing page with a proper website that reflects the professionalism of the business, clearly communicates the services on offer, and gives ECF a platform to grow their online presence. The client also needed to be able to manage and update the site themselves without relying on a developer for every change.
Constraints
- Existing branding and identity needed to be carried across into the new site
- No large internal team — key content would be supplied by the client directly
- The client needed full control of content post-launch, without developer dependency
- Timeline needed to be efficient to minimise disruption to the live site
Our Approach
We kicked things off with a discovery session to understand ECF's core service offering, typical client profiles, and the kinds of funding solutions they arrange most frequently. From that we mapped out a clean site architecture: a homepage designed to establish credibility and drive enquiries, dedicated service pages for each core product area, a clear about page, and a contact page with a direct enquiry form.
We chose WordPress as the platform — the right call for a client who needed a straightforward content management system they could navigate confidently. We built a custom theme aligned to the ECF brand: clean, authoritative, and structured to work hard for the business in a competitive financial services market.
Each service page was structured around the questions a commercial finance prospect actually has — what type of funding, who it's for, and how to get started. Trust signals, clear calls to action, and strong typography carried through every page. We delivered the full site within three weeks, with handover training so the client felt confident managing it from day one.
